Question: I have been injured for about a year with chronic back problems. I had an MRI and they told me that nothing was structually wrong. I take extra precautions and stretch more than most athletes. Yet, i cannot seem to get rid of my back pain. I am a quarter-mile runner, for the most part, and I do weightlifting, although I avoid dierct pressure to my lower back, how do I get rid of this pain?

Answer: There are many answers to solving back pain, and the truth is, doctors often notice that the pain goes away on its own. One physician by the name of Dr. John Sarno, has written five books on the nature of back pain, and he beleives that the origins are emotional, and not structural at all. If you have visited your doctor, and any serious problem has been ruled out, I strongly urge you to read some of Sarno's books. You just might find the solution to your chronic pain.
